Vocaloid
The Japanese have taken the Gorrilaz concept to another level whereby not even the voice is real.
Popstars such as Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Megurine Luka all use the Vocaloid 2 software from Yamaha.
A voice is sampled at controlled pitch and tone. These different samples all contain a single Japanese phonic which when strung together create full words and eventually phrases.
Of course it's all mainly cheesy Jpop but they are hugely popular with 1000's of songs written by different artists.

Golo I Wesolo
Golo I Wesolo (Naked and Funny) is a hit Ukranian programme which is what happens if you were to mix Benny Hill, Candid Camera and LSD.. Amazingly cheap to make and with an endless supply of victims it has become a big hit on the German Comedy Channel. I was lucky enough to stumble across it on tv in Poland!!

RIP John Sullivan
COMEDY LEGEND John Sullivan, who wrote one of the best-loved British sitcoms, Only Fools and Horses, has died at the age of 64. He had been in intensive care for six weeks at a hospital in Surrey, battling viral pneumonia.
A real sad day for British Comedy. I think Del Boy himself said it best;
"We have lost our country's greatest comedy writer but he leaves us a great legacy, the gift of laughter. My thoughts at this time are with his lovely family."

Former British boxing champion Gary Mason has died in a cycling crash in south London.
Mason, 48, was on his bicycle in Sandy Lane South, Wallington, on Thursday morning when he was involved in a collision with a van.
The retired fighter was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 43-year-old, who was driving a white Vauxhall "combi" van, had stopped at the scene.
Mason fought 38 times as a professional between 1984 and 1994, with 37 wins.
His only defeat was against future world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis at Wembley Arena.
Mason was British champion from January 1989 to March 1991 when he lost to Lewis.
Former world heavyweight boxing champion Frank Bruno said through his agent: "I'm very sorry about his death, particularly the circumstances of how it happened.
"Both of us were plying our trade at an early age and I had a lot of respect for the guy."
Boxing promoter Frank Maloney described Mason as "one of the nice guys of boxing".
"Even if things were going wrong for him, he cheered other people up," he said.
The fight with Lewis ended Mason's career, he added. "One man's career ended and one man's career went forward.
"Gary was a good heavyweight but he was around at the wrong time, with the likes of Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno."
