In the 1970's Howard Marks was one of the biggest cannabis smugglers in the world but the Welshman from the small town of Kenfig never intended to become such a major player in the industry. In the beginning Marks started out as a relatively minor drug dealer, supplying small amounts of dope but as his connections began to grow more opportunities became available.
Among his associates were CIA and MI6 operatives, members of the IRA and the Mafia. It didn't take long for the police in the UK and USA to cotton onto Mark's illegal activities and so started a worldwide chase through Ireland, Pakistan, Amsterdam, Thailand, Ibiza, Majorca, Manilla and America to capture Britain's most wanted fugitive.
