The Way (Tao)

I've always loved Chinese art and philosophy. This combines both.
"It is a marriage between ancient Chinese philosophy and western chaos theory, revealing the underlying dynamic nature of reality, pulsing with life, which surrounds us."

Tyson The Movie..

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson examines his own life in and out of the ring with a candor that is brutally honest. Through a mixture of original interviews, archival footage and photographs, a surprisingly complex, fully-rounded human being emerges. The film ranges from Tyson's earliest memories of growing up on the mean streets of Brooklyn through his entry into the world of boxing, including his rollercoaster ride through the funhouse of worldwide fame and his fortunes won and lost. It's the story of a uniquely controversial athlete, a figure conjuring radical questions of race, class, and a man who arose from the most debased circumstances and soared to seemingly unlimited heights, followed by destruction generated by hubris, like a character out of classical tragedy.

3am or Eminem

Five years after Encore, Eminem returns with Relapse, an album documenting how Slim Shady spent his long vacation with a lot of pills. Paced by Dr. Dre’s stripped down, low-end-funk production, Eminem raps about his medication addiction, serial killing, marijuana, his mom and child molestation, At its best, Relapse unleashes powerhouses like the funny confessional “Déjà vu”; At its worst, it tests listeners with stale boasts and carbon-dated knocks on celebs like in “Crack A Bottle.” More of the same or is this "FRESH"?

Nice!!!

Gorillaz film..

From 2000 to 2006 director Ceri Levy filmed alongside the creators behind the scenes, from first drawings, animations, music and the musicians, through to the faces behind the voices of Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs. Made with the spirit of collaboration and madness that is Gorillaz, Bananaz also has appearances from many of those who occasionally pass through this virtual band; Dennis Hopper, De la Soul, Ibrahim Ferrer, Dangermouse, Dan the Automator, D12, Booty Brown and Neneh Cherry.

New Sony SPOS-TDFW

Barack & Curtis

After watching stanos's post below, I found this vid by the same guy.
Both raise some very interesting points.

When "gangsta" rap started to pervade Hip-Hop, I personally stopped listening to a lot of it because it didn't speak to me about what I believe, although there were exceptions of course.
Lets hope that people can take back Hip-Hop and realise that while if you asked some rappers if they love black people (or people in general) they would say yes, while at the same time talking about killing them and restricting what it is acceptable that they can do.
They are puppets for The Man and they might say "I'm just makin money for my kids", or "if people keep buying it they must want it" etc, but they need to stand up and take responsibility for their words.
If you just go along with it you are part of the problem.

Beyond Beats And Rhymes

HIP-HOP: BEYOND BEATS AND RHYMES is a riveting documentary that examines representations of gender roles in hip-hop and rap music through the lens of filmmaker Byron Hurt, a former college quarterback turned activist. Conceived as a “loving critique” from a self-proclaimed “hip-hop head,” Hurt examines issues of masculinity, sexism, violence and homophobia in today’s hip-hop culture
